Most corporate-travel content reads like a travel agent's brochure. This one will not. For twenty years we have run programs in Italy, Portugal, Spain, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Argentina, and Uruguay. We have watched what works and what merely looks like it works. This is where we will write that down.

Why this blog exists

Every corporate buyer we talk to has read the same three white papers and watched the same four webinars. Most of them were written by people who have never run a program. We have run more than five hundred. The gap between what the industry says corporate travel does and what it actually does for a team is enormous, and we are tired of not naming it.

Three kinds of post you can expect

1. Field notes. What we have actually seen change behavior on the ground, and what has not. Drawn from running programs every week, not from desk research.
2. Meridian deep-dives. The data, the math, and the honest limits of behavioral measurement for corporate travel. The numbers that hold up under scrutiny, and the ones that do not.
3. Destination intelligence. What each of our eight countries does for the kind of program you are designing, and where it falls short. The honest version, not the brochure version.

A short word on intent

We are not trying to win awards from this blog. We are trying to give serious buyers the kind of information we wish we had been given when we started designing programs in 2006. If a post here saves you from a bad RFP, a wrong destination, or a measurement framework that looks rigorous but is not, the post has done its job.
